Sundays – Kids
All our Sunday Groups for children in School Years 1 to 6 start at 9.15 each Sunday morning. The children stay in church with their families for the first 15 minutes of the service before going into their groups.
Initi8, Gener8 and Reson8 run through to 10:30 so that parents have plenty of time to come and collect at the end of the service, allowing you to have a child free coffee. The programme is designed so that at 10.15 it is also possible to collect your children if they need to leave to attend sporting events.
We come together as a church family to worship all together, about once a month, notably on special seasonal Sundays such as Mothering Sunday and Easter. On these occasions, all three groups stay in church.
Initi8, Gener8 & Reson8
Initi8 is for School Years 1 and 2, Gener8 for years 3 & 4 and Reson8 for years 5 & 6. They all meet in Knowle Academy – just a short walk from the Church. On some Sundays during school holidays, we meet in St John’s Hall as KPC Kids together.
Children have a big group time with Bible story, application, worship and games, before breaking into small groups where, through different activities, the Bible teaching is reinforced. Children receive KPC Kids tokens for attending each session which can be redeemed half termly in the KPC Kids Token Shop.
Each of Initi8, Gener8 and Reson8 is based on three important values: each is God centred, ….. Bible based, ….. Age appropriate.
