Our church has stood at the centre of our community for over six centuries and has been a place where the good news of Jesus Christ has been told.
Today, the heart of our church’s life is that same message about Jesus.
His two great commandments call us to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength,
and to love our neighbours as ourselves.
In our worship and all our activities, our priorities in 2011 are:
- to encounter the reality of God in the Bible; and
- to value and love people as Jesus does
While focusing on these priorities, we aim to be a church that:
- equips people for Christian discipleship
- provides a breadth of worship styles
- cares for one another
- is committed to prayer
- welcomes and reaches out to everyone in the community
- values, grows and trains its leaders and ministry teams
- develops our resources for ministry and mission
Our ongoing mission – reflected above:
- to grow deeper in spiritual life and care for one another,
- to go wider in outreach to the local community,
- to reach further in our support for the church beyond the locality.
Everyone is welcome, and we try to make it easy for those who are newcomers.
- Groups are always open to anyone interested in finding out more.
- Our Sunday services enable people to worship in a way that suits them.
- Our activities span every age group;
