Calling all ladies!

Led by our hostess-with-the-mostess, Barbara Carstairs, this popular women’s event has a wonderful vibe and lightness of Spirit as we worship, share testimonies, and read God's Word together.

The evenings are free and no bookings are required.

Testimonies

"I want to send a huge 'thank you’ to you and your team in organising the evening.  I attended Feb and June 2025 where God never ceases to amaze me.  Each time He turns up.  At each evening, I have left in a better place than I came in, and I give God the Glory for this. God is breaking chains and strongholds in my life through this event.  It's good to talk with people who don't know me when I receive prayer ministry at this event.  Each time I have shared deep intimate things about myself with the prayer ministry team and each time I haven't been judged but loved by them.  I thank God for you in your obedience to carry out His will in starting/organising this event." Alison

"I wanted to let you know just how much I love the ladies’ nights. I can see how much effort and hard work goes into each and every one of them. You have such an amazing team of dedicated people. You are all a credit to Knowle Parish Church.
On the ladies’ night that was around Christmas time, it really resonated with me as I’m reading the one year chronological bible plan. I really love Hagar’s story. I really identify with her as for many, many years, I felt like I was cursed. I felt invisible to God, thought He must hate me with all the horrible things in life that has happened to me. I just couldn’t understand it. I’d learned about Hagar in my church and thought wow, I really feel what she was going through. Then, as I was reading my bible plan, she came up that week as well in my bible. Then when I attended your ladies’ night the lady who was doing the talking said I’m going to talk to you about a woman in the bible called Hagar, I bet not many of you know who she is … I was stunned. I thought not only do I know who she is, I really feel like I can identify with her, and this is the 3rd time in one week that she’d cropped up for me. Wow!"
 Natalie

"I just wanted to say what an amazing night it was; I was so touched by the welcome and all the trouble your team had gone to including the drinks and canapes and the beautiful spray of flowers and the atmosphere was wonderful a room filled with Godly women. The worship was beautiful and the testimonies were very touching, but I did come away knowing there are two things I definitely would like to move forward with in a good way in my life which I now need to put into action, after the amazing talk and challenge given by the speaker. I hope it touched lots of people and that there are changes in their lives for the good and please express my thanks to the team... I feel it was done so humbly and so well, and I pray that lots of those women who came, will also search their hearts for things that they need and would like to step into, in their lives." Anne

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

Whether you are thinking of coming to church for the first time because you are interested in exploring faith,  whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church, or whether you’re investigating baptism or marriage, you are really welcome. Our vision is to be “A house of God’s light for all peoples and generations,” and we really hope you’ll get to experience some of that light.

You’ll find we have different styles of services that reflect our diverse congregation. Click here to find out which of our services might suit you.  When you arrive you should be met by a member of our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome badge. Please do make yourself known to them so that they can let you have a Welcome Pack and, if you like, can introduce you to someone to sit next to in the service.

What is there for my children?
If you are coming along with children, you might find our 9.30 Family Service most suitable.  Most weeks, the children start in the church with their accompanying adult (we really value worshipping God altogether as an inter-generational community.) After around 15 minutes, children go out to their own Sunday groups. More details of these age groups can be found on our Children and Young People page. On the first Sunday of the month, we hold either an All Age or All In service.

How do I get to know people in such a big church?
While you will get to know some people if you come to a church service, it is often at smaller gatherings which happen during the week that you will get to know people better.  Click here to read about the other groups which run during the week and here for activities that go on at the church.

How can I get involved?
Click here to read about the many ways in which you can get involved in the life of the church. Getting involved is another great way of way of getting to know people. We’d love KPC to be a church where we grow spiritually by contributing.

We hope very much that you will like what you taste and soon feel at home in our church.

Best wishes,
Geoff Lanham, Vicar
